So are there animals at Kelsey’s house?! Yes Thelma I believe Kelsey’s parents are friends with a zoologist. They have some exotic animals for everyone to see. There’s horse back riding and they have an exhibit with larger animals for everyone to look at. There’s also a mini petting zoo! Kelsey’s parents had a ranch with over 5 acres of land. Thelma and her mother were about 20 min from Kelsey’s house. They were picking up another family. It was a single mother who had 4 children! A girl who was also 11. An older girl who was 14. Two boys who were 9 and 7 yrs old. Thelma’s mother thought the 9 yr old boy named Mark was “off”. When Thelma and her mother arrived at the small farm house the 5 of them were standing on the porch dressed with t shirts that had a photo of a giraffe on the front. They waved excitedly then got into the back seat of their large suv. I can’t wait to see what kind of animals they brought!!! Ginger remarked I’ve never heard of anyone having a safari party! Then they invited half of the town it sounds like this is going to be a nice day. Im happy that I don’t have to entertain the 4 of these kids on my own today. Thelma’s mother said that she was very curious to see the animals as well. I love your t shirts! Where did you buy them? I found them at Jc penny. They were expensive but I figured that I would splurge for the occasion. They have nice things at that store. We all have to take a shopping trip there soon Ginger exclaimed. Thelma’s mom liked Ginger because she always was enthusiastic to go out and do things. They met Ginger and her family at Pizza Hut. Thelma and Ginger’s daughter Gina had gotten free pan pizza voucher’s for good grades in English.
When they arrived at the ranch their was a valet service. Fancy! Ginger screamed. They got out of the truck and walked towards the house there were large plants lining the walk way and two men stood at the door. The first man gave them a bag of “feed” to feed the animals at the petting zoo. The second man opened the door and ushered them into the house. The ranch was beautifully decorated there were more plants inside. Exotic plants with large dark green leaves. They were instructed to sit in the living room. There was a large window. There was a animal exhibit visible. There was a monkey in a gated area. He was brown and nibbling on some sort of food the handlers had given him. I don’t want to look at no stupid monkey. Are there better animals here? Mark asked. Monkeys are not stupid they are supposed to be social and very intelligent Ginger explained to him. Comments like that made Thelma’s mother talk about Mark. Every time that they went out he always seemed to act weird to her. She said that he was needy and he craved attention. He had gotten upset when they were at the Pizza Hut about not having enough pepperoni on his pizza. He wanted to send his food back and Ginger refused. He then pushed the pizza onto the center of the table and told Ginger that he would throw the food on the floor if she did not order him a new pizza. She said ignore him. He glared at her for about 6 min hoping she would do what she asked. It was another 20 min before he snatched the pizza and ate it. There were other occasions where he would get upset with Ginger and sulk or make some sort of threat for Ginger to show some sort of sympathy towards him. Thelma’s mother was concerned that Mark might hurt Ginger. Her other 3 children never acted like Mark.
